Setting Up Your Sundial

Place the armillary in a bright sunny position on a flat, level surface.

For best results, position the centre arrow / gnomon so it faces true north. At local noon, the gnomon should cast little or no shadow. Seasonal variation and location will affect accuracy, so occasional adjustment may be required.

Finish Note

The verdigris patina is part of the aged character of the piece. Brass and bronze style finishes may naturally develop further colour variation over time, especially when displayed outdoors.
